Have always had a good experience here. I challenge you to find a place with better fries. They are always so perfect. Service has always been friendly. From brunch, to lunch, to dinner, I've never been disappointed!
Nashville hot chicken sandwich was awesome and a massive portion...fries decent. My wife loved the Big F'in Salad.
The GVL Hot sandwich is absolutely phenomenal. Spicy, the chick breaded perfectly to enjoy but not overwhelm the piminto cheese and spicy mayo bring the brioche into perfect unity with whole sandwich. Nothing to distract or over kill, it a snipe shot of spice and chicken.
This place is located inside The Commons. We absolutely loved it. Tried the chicken sandwich with bacon and fries. It was enough to share. Tons of fries and there were 2 large chicken breasts. Honestly, it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. The fries are some of the best in the area. They also have some other menu items I’d like to try next time. They even have donuts for sale at the counter. There is seating inside but also in the Commons area. Highly recommend.
We have been meaning to try GB&D for a long time and finally made it for lunch today. We didn't realize how large the portion sizes are so I ordered the Bird Plate (chicken tenders, fries and coleslaw) and my boyfriend ordered the Sando (the fried chicken sandwich) with a side of truffle fries (amazing)! Everything was delicious but that was a lot of fries! We brought quite a bit home. Oh well, now we know for next time!
Amazing food and always consistent! Best burger and chicken sandwich. If looking for a little fancier try the steak frites or the small plates on the weekend. Cannot beat the fries and Mac and cheese either. Atmosphere is great with the open air bar and murals on the wall! Staff is friendly and accommodating to all requests.
This year I decided to celebrate my birthday in two different months, my birthday(7/12/22) and (9/5/22-9/9/22). I was treated with lunch today by my great niece. We attempted to dine at Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders, on Wade Hampton Blvd. Noticed had not been posted online at the time we went there (7/15/22). Thank goodness it was closed, I would have missed out on dining at The Commons! I ordered my food from Golden Brown and Delicious. It’s a food court with some nice options to chose from. I ordered the Chicken Sando, and a salad as my side item. The sandwich was two nice sized crispy fried chicken tenders, with green leaf lettuce, mayo, pickles and honey on a bun. The chicken tenders were juicy and tender with a good flavor to them, the bun was even good! The honey gave an extra boost to an already delicious sandwich. The side salad was delicious also. It was mixed greens(I’m thinking butter lettuce) with thinly sliced radishes, thin ribbons of carrot, chopped English cucumbers, sautéed zucchini and pickled beets, I chose ranch dressing to top that off. The salad was amazing and different, the pickled beet strips, tasted like the ones my mother use to make a big plus in my book. I really enjoyed my first time and definitely not my last visit to The Commons. Looking forward to my next visit!
Tried GB&D for lunch. Had a brisket burrito, the Greenville hot chicken sandwich, and black truffle fries. Everything was delicious and fairly priced. Definitely a good spot to grab lunch. Pleasantly surprised.
